जागतिक रंगभूमी दिन 27/03/2025

१९६१ मध्ये इंटरनॅशनल थिएटर इन्स्टिट्यूट (ITI) च्या ९ व्या जागतिक काँग्रेस दरम्यान, फिनलंडच्या अर्वी किविमा यांनी जागतिक रंगभूमी दिन साजरा करण्याचा प्रस्ताव मांडला. स्कँडिनेव्हियन केंद्रांच्या पाठिंब्याने हा प्रस्ताव स्वीकारला गेला आणि १९६२ मध्ये पहिल्यांदा हा दिवस साजरा करण्यात आला.

पहिला जागतिक रंगभूमी दिन संदेश सुप्रसिद्ध फ्रेंच लेखक आणि नाटककार जीन कोक्टो यांनी दिला होता. 

या दिवशी नाट्यक्षेत्रातील विविध कार्यक्रम आणि कार्यशाळा आयोजित केल्या जातात.

ITI तर्फे दरवर्षी एक "जागतिक रंगभूमी दिन संदेश" दिला जातो, जो नाट्यक्षेत्रातील प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्ती सादर

करतात.

हा दिवस रंगभूमीच्या सांस्कृतिक आणि सामाजिक योगदानावर प्रकाश टाकतो आणि शांती तसेच सहिष्णुतेचा संदेश देतो.

लक्ष्मणशास्त्री जोशी (जानेवारी २७, १९०१ - मे २७, १९९४) हे महाराष्ट्रातील एक थोर विचारवंत, संस्कृत पंडित, लेखक, कोशकार आणि सामाजिक शास्त्रांचे अभ्यासक-संशोधक होते. त्यांचा जन्म खानदेशातील पिंपळनेर येथे झाला.

शिक्षण आणि युवावस्था: 

वयाच्या १४ व्या वर्षी वाई येथील प्राज्ञ पाठशाळेत शिक्षण सुरू. स्वामी केवलानंद सरस्वती (नारायणशास्त्री मराठे) यांचे मार्गदर्शन. 

१९१८ मध्ये न्यायशास्त्राच्या अभ्यासासाठी वाराणसीला प्रयाण. राजेश्वरशास्त्री द्रविड आणि वामाचरण भट्टाचार्य यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली न्यायशास्त्राचे अध्ययन. 

१९२२ मध्ये कलकत्ता येथील शासकीय संस्कृत महाविद्यालयातून ‘तर्कतीर्थ’ पदवी प्राप्त. 

१९१७ मध्ये विनोबा भावे यांच्याकडून इंग्रजीचे प्राथमिक शिक्षण आणि स्वतःच्या प्रयत्नांनी इंग्रजी व पाश्चात्त्य विद्यांचा अभ्यास.

सामाजिक आणि राजकीय कार्य: 

१९३० पासून धर्मसुधारणा आंदोलनात सहभाग. 

महात्मा गांधींच्या नेतृत्वाखाली स्वातंत्र्य लढ्यात सक्रिय सहभाग आणि १९३० व १९३२ मध्ये कारावास. 

१९३६ मध्ये मानवेंद्रनाथ रॉय यांच्या नवमानववादाचा प्रभाव आणि ‘भारतीय प्रबोधनाचे प्रसादचिन्ह’ म्हणून गौरव. 

भारतीय राज्यघटनेच्या संस्कृत भाषांतर समितीचे सदस्य.

शैक्षणिक आणि साहित्यिक कार्य: 

प्राज्ञ पाठशाळेत अध्यापन आणि धर्मकोश प्रकल्पाचे संपादन. 

मराठी विश्वकोशाचे प्रमुख संपादक म्हणून महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान. २० खंडांच्या या प्रकल्पात तंत्रज्ञान, विज्ञान आणि मानव्यविद्यांना समान महत्त्व. नवीन परिभाषा आणि संज्ञांची निर्मिती.
