राष्ट्रीय डाक कर्मचारी दिन २०२५: संचार व्यवस्थेचे नायक

डाक कर्मचारी आपल्या संचार व्यवस्थेचा आधारस्तंभ आहेत. डिजिटल युगातही, विशेषतः ग्रामीण आणि दुर्गम भागात, त्यांचे कार्य आजही अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे. दरवर्षी १ जुलै रोजी राष्ट्रीय डाक कर्मचारी दिन साजरा केला जातो, ज्याद्वारे प्रत्येक ऋतूमध्ये अपार कष्ट घेऊन आपली पत्रे व पार्सल सुरक्षितपणे आणि वेळेवर पोहोचवणाऱ्या डाक कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या निष्ठा व समर्पणाचा सन्मान केला जातो.

राष्ट्रीय डाक कर्मचारी दिनाची सुरूवात प्रथम १९९७ मध्ये अमेरिकेतील सिएटल शहरात झाली. काही डाक कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या गटाने आपल्या सहकाऱ्यांच्या मेहनतीची कदर करण्यासाठी हा दिवस सुरू केला.

काळानुसार हा उत्सव लोकप्रिय झाला आणि हळूहळू संपूर्ण अमेरिकेत पसरला.

डाक सेवेची परंपरा शतकांपूर्वीपासून सुरू आहे.

• अमेरिकेत औपचारिक डाक वितरणाची सुरुवात १८व्या शतकात झाली.

• काळानुसार, डाक कर्मचाऱ्यांचे कार्य केवळ पत्र पोहोचवण्यापुरते न राहता औषधे, कायदेशीर नोटिसा, पेन्शन, आणि मतदार संबंधित माहिती पोहोचवण्यापर्यंत विस्तारले.

• डाक कर्मचारी अनेकांसाठी केवळ संचार माध्यम नसून, जीवनरेषाच ठरले.

राष्ट्रीय डाक कर्मचारी दिन हा सर्व डाक कर्मचारी — वाहक, लिपिक, छाटणी कर्मचारी, आणि सहाय्यक टीम — यांच्या प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करण्याचा दिवस आहे. प्रत्येक वितरणामागील त्यांचा घाम, संयम आणि जबाबदारीची आठवण करून देत, हा दिवस त्यांच्या समर्पणाला सलाम करण्याचे प्रतीक ठरतो.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a comprehensive indirect tax system in India that applies to the supply of most goods and services, with exceptions like petroleum products, alcoholic beverages, and stamp duty. GST replaced numerous domestic indirect taxes—including VAT, service tax, and excise duty—by unifying them into a single tax regime. Its implementation represents the largest tax reform in the history of independent India.

GST Day is observed every year on 1st July to commemorate the anniversary of GST’s implementation. The day recognizes the transformative impact of GST on India’s taxation landscape and celebrates the collective efforts of taxpayers, policymakers, and tax administrators in making this reform a success. 

Significance: Marks the launch of GST on 1st July 2017, symbolizing the simplification of India’s indirect tax system under the concept of “One Nation, One Tax.” 

Celebrating GST Day highlights the importance of a unified tax structure in improving ease of doing business, reducing tax cascading, and creating a common national market.

The Central Government of India introduced GST Day to acknowledge the successful implementation of GST. The first year of GST’s rollout in 2017 demonstrated taxpayers’ willingness to embrace this unprecedented reform, leading the government to designate 1st July as GST Day.

The first GST Day celebration took place on 1st July 2018, marking the one-year anniversary since GST came into force. Since then, GST Day has been celebrated annually through seminars, workshops, taxpayer outreach programs, and events recognizing the efforts of stakeholders in India’s tax ecosystem.

National   Doctor’s Day in India was established in 1991 by the   Government  of   India  to   honor   Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, an esteemed physician, visionary in public healthcare, and Bharat Ratna awardee. Dr. Roy, born on July 1, 1882, and passing away on the same date in 1962, also served as the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. His enduring legacy includes founding vital medical institutions such as the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Medical Council of India (MCI), which continue to shape the country’s healthcare landscape.

Significance of National Doctor’s Day:

महाराष्ट्र कृषी दिन 2025: 

महाराष्ट्रात दरवर्षी 1 जुलै हा दिवस कृषी दिन म्हणून साजरा केला जातो. हा दिवस राज्यातील शेतकऱ्यांच्या अथक परिश्रमांचे आणि महाराष्ट्राच्या कृषी विकासातील योगदानाचे गौरवकरण करण्यासाठी समर्पित आहे. महाराष्ट्राच्या हरित क्रांतीचे जनक व माजी मुख्यमंत्री वसंतराव नाईक (Vasantrao Naik) यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त कृषी दिन साजरा करण्याची परंपरा आहे. त्यांनी 1963 ते 1975 या कालावधीत मुख्यमंत्रीपद भूषवताना महाराष्ट्राच्या शेती क्षेत्रात क्रांतिकारी बदल घडवले.

कृषी दिनाची पार्श्वभूमी:

वसंतराव नाईक यांची जयंती कृषी दिन म्हणून साजरी करण्याचा निर्णय 1989 साली तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री शरद पवार यांनी जाहीर केला. वसंतराव नाईक यांनी शेतकऱ्यांना आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाची ओळख करून देऊन आणि कृषी विद्यापीठांची स्थापना करून राज्याच्या कृषी विकासाला नवे वळण दिले. त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांमुळे महाराष्ट्र देशातील अग्रगण्य कृषी उत्पादक राज्यांपैकी एक बनले.

कृषी दिनाचा अनोखा उपक्रम म्हणजे हा दिवस थेट शेतकऱ्यांच्या बांधावर साजरा करण्याची सुरुवात. एकनाथराव पवार यांनी या अभिनव उपक्रमाची कल्पना प्रत्यक्षात आणली आणि आज गाव, तांडा, शहरे तसेच सरकारी कार्यालयांसह शेतकऱ्यांच्या बांधावरही कृषी दिन साजरा केला जातो.
