    On this day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi and addresses the nation. The celebrations include cultural programs, patriotic songs, parades, and various events across states, schools, and institutions.

    Independence Day is not only a tribute to those who fought for the country’s freedom but also a reminder of our responsibilities as citizens to uphold unity, democracy, and progress.

    जागतिक युवा दिवस दरवर्षी १२ ऑगस्ट रोजी साजरा केला जातो. या दिवसाचा उद्देश जगभरातील तरुणांना भेडसावणाऱ्या आव्हानांविषयी आणि त्यांच्या समोर असलेल्या संधींबाबत जनजागृती करणे हा आहे.

    हा दिवस संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघाने स्थापन केला असून दरवर्षीचा विषय (Theme) UN Focal Point on Youth व विविध युवा संघटना तसेच UN Inter-Agency Network on Youth Development च्या सदस्यांच्या सल्ल्यानुसार ठरवला जातो.

“Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”

— या वर्षीची जागतिक युवा दिवसाची मुख्य थीम ही आहे SDGs आणि त्यापलिकडेची स्थानिक युवा क्रिया

जागतिक संस्कृत दिन

    जागतिक संस्कृत दिन दरवर्षी श्रावण पौर्णिमेला (रक्षाबंधनाच्या दिवशी) साजरा केला जातो. प्रथम याची सुरुवात १९६९ साली झाली. या दिवसाचे उद्दिष्ट संस्कृत भाषेचे महत्त्व पटवून देणे, तिच्या अभ्यासाला प्रोत्साहन देणे आणि जागतिक पातळीवर तिचा प्रचार करणे हे आहे.

संस्कृत भाषेचे वैशिष्ट्य

• ही जगातील सर्वात प्राचीन व संरचित भाषांपैकी एक आहे.

• धार्मिक विधी, पूजाविधी, मंत्रोच्चार आणि शास्त्रांमध्ये याचा वापर प्राचीन काळापासून चालत आला आहे.

• वेद, उपनिषदे, पुराणे, महाभारत, रामायण यांसारखी अमूल्य ग्रंथसंपदा संस्कृतमध्ये आहे.

ऐतिहासिक पैलू

    संस्कृत भाषेचा प्रभाव केवळ भारतातच नाही तर परदेशातही दिसून येतो. युरोपीय विद्वान सर विल्यम जोन्स हे याचे एक महत्त्वाचे उदाहरण आहेत.

    १७८३ मध्ये ते ब्रिटिश सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाचे न्यायाधीश म्हणून कलकत्त्यात आले. तसेच एशियन सोसायटीचे संस्थापक होते. त्यांनी कालिदासांचे अभिज्ञान शकुंतलम् आणि ऋतुसंहार, तसेच जयदेवांचे गीता गोविंद यांचे इंग्रजी भाषांतर केले. तसेच मनुस्मृतीचेही इंग्रजीत भाषांतर केले.

महत्त्व: 

    जागतिक संस्कृत दिन आपल्याला या प्राचीन भाषेची श्रीमंती, तिची सांस्कृतिक मुळे आणि जागतिक वारसा जपण्याची प्रेरणा देतो.

ऑगस्ट क्रांती दिन ०९/०८/२०२५

 ऑगस्ट क्रांती दिन 

    भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्यलढ्यातील हा एक ऐतिहासिक आणि अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा दिवस आहे. ९ ऑगस्ट १९४२ रोजी महात्मा गांधींनी मुंबईतील ग्वालिया टँक मैदानावर (सध्याचे ऑगस्ट क्रांती मैदान) ‘भारत छोडो आंदोलन’ (Quit India Movement) सुरू करण्याचे आवाहन केले. या आंदोलनाचा प्रमुख उद्देश ब्रिटिश सत्तेला भारतातून हाकलून देऊन तात्काळ स्वातंत्र्य मिळवणे हा होता.

पार्श्वभूमी

    दुसऱ्या महायुद्धाच्या काळात ब्रिटिशांनी भारतीय नेत्यांशी कोणताही सल्ला न करता भारताला युद्धात सामील केले. या घटनेमुळे भारतीयांमध्ये तीव्र असंतोष निर्माण झाला. काँग्रेस कार्यकारिणी समितीने ८ ऑगस्ट १९४२ रोजी ठराव मंजूर केला आणि दुसऱ्या दिवशी आंदोलनाची औपचारिक सुरुवात झाली.

घोषवाक्य

महात्मा गांधींचे प्रेरणादायी घोषवाक्य – "करो या मरो" (Do or Die) – हे आंदोलनाचे मुख्य ब्रीदवाक्य ठरले.

परिणाम

• हजारो स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांनी तुरुंगवास भोगला.

• ब्रिटिशांनी कठोर दडपशाही केली, तरीही आंदोलन सुरूच राहिले.

• या चळवळीमुळे स्वातंत्र्यलढ्याला नवसंजीवनी मिळाली आणि १९४७ मध्ये स्वातंत्र्य प्राप्तीसाठी भक्कम पाया तयार झाला.

महत्त्व: हा दिवस स्वातंत्र्यासाठीच्या त्याग, धैर्य आणि एकतेचे प्रतीक म्हणून दरवर्षी स्मरणात ठेवला जातो.

जागतिक आदिवासी दिन

    जागतिक आदिवासी दिन दरवर्षी ९ ऑगस्ट रोजी साजरा केला जातो. संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघाने (United Nations) १९९४ साली हा दिवस जाहीर केला, ज्याचा उद्देश जगभरातील आदिवासी समुदायांचे हक्क, संस्कृती, परंपरा आणि योगदान यांचा सन्मान करणे हा आहे.

    या दिवसाचे महत्त्व म्हणजे आदिवासी लोकांचे सामाजिक, आर्थिक आणि सांस्कृतिक हक्क जपणे, तसेच त्यांच्या जीवनमानात सुधारणा घडवून आणण्यासाठी जनजागृती करणे.

    

    जगभरात सुमारे ४७.६ कोटी लोक आदिवासी समाजात मोडतात, जे ९० हून अधिक देशांत राहतात.

२०२५ ची थीम – "Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-determination"
